Commission to create a new seamless illustration to be used for textiles. The theme was insects. My approach was to create a series of spot illustrations that could be combined in an infinite combination to create a field of insects, or if broken up, could become a harlequin pattern or any number of other textural/patterned looks. Each illustration was also pulled off its background so the company could use them as social elements, stickers, or for callouts on packaging/advertising. Amazing challenge and really great collaboration with Wessel to land on this final direction.
