Menehune Chef Logo Brand & Design
This project involved crafting a brand identity for Menehune Chef, a culinary business in Honolulu, Hawaii, led by a talented chef and former 2019 Miss United States. With a deep connection to local culture, the client wanted a logo that showcased her commitment to fresh, home-grown ingredients, delicious meals, and creating an enjoyable dining experience. The aim was to design something that felt professional yet approachable, reflecting the chef’s passion for food and Hawaiian traditions.
The logo features vibrant, natural colors inspired by Hawaii’s lush landscapes, evoking warmth and freshness. The playful inclusion of a whisk in the letter “h” symbolizes the chef’s creativity and expertise, while the floral elements add a touch of Hawaiian cultural pride and connection to the land. The tagline, "Grow | Cook | Eat | Enjoy," succinctly captures the brand’s philosophy and clearly communicates what Menehune Chef represents.
This project was a major highlight for me this year, as it challenged me to fuse cultural elements with a modern, professional design. By working closely with the client, I ensured the final logo not only represented her culinary expertise but also her dedication to honoring Hawaii’s natural abundance. The design will serve as a cornerstone of the brand’s identity, helping it grow and become memorable and trusted.
This logo is one of my favorite projects of the year, as it allowed me to creatively merge culture and profession into a cohesive visual identity that resonates with both local and broader audiences. I thoroughly enjoyed the process and am excited to see Menehune Chef thrive!

This past year, rebranding Arizona Developmental Services has been one of my most fulfilling projects. The goal was to create a modern, inclusive identity that reflects the organization’s dedication to supporting individuals with developmental disabilities. From designing a new logo to creating cohesive marketing materials, each element was crafted to communicate compassion, empowerment, and trust. Although the website is still in production, the rebrand has already made a significant impact, receiving positive feedback from the team and the community. It's rewarding to know that this new identity will help Arizona Developmental Services enhance their outreach and continue their vital work. As Arizona’s design community evolves, there's a clear shift toward more purposeful, mission-driven work. Designers are now using their craft not just to enhance aesthetics, but to foster meaningful connections and drive positive change. I've contributed by bringing those connections to life through thoughtful and impactful design, and I’m eager to see how we continue to grow and evolve from here.
