The “Home Sweet Home” Christmas move-out campaign, created by Grand Canyon University’s (GCU) Ad Agency, was developed to inform students living on campus about the procedures for moving into and out of residence halls amid the holiday season.
The goal was to provide students with clear instructions for moving in and out of campus while framing the information in a comforting, engaging and positive way in anticipation of traveling home for the holidays. “Home Sweet Home’s” theme highlights the sentiment that there’s nothing sweeter than spending Christmas with loved ones and leaving school’s stresses behind, which resonated deeply with students.
Design-wise, the campaign features warm and festive Christmas visuals, including gingerbread men, frosted cookies and sprinkles, complemented by soft pastel colors like mint green and pink. These nostalgic and striking 3D visuals appear across posters, flyers, digital message boards and social media graphics, creating cohesive and cheerful messaging that makes the information less overwhelming.
The significance of this campaign extends beyond its immediate purpose; it showcases the creativity and strategic thinking of GCU’s copywriting and design students. It also demonstrates their ability to produce a campaign that meets the client’s needs and enhances the campus’ atmosphere during a cherished time of year. The “Home Sweet Home” campaign reaffirms GCU’s commitment to supporting their students, creativity and vibrant community spirit.
