Cleave Coffee Co. Branding & Package System

Cleave Coffee Co. is a PNW-based coffee roasting business that deeply emphasizes connection, community, and quality. They came to me to collaborate on a brand identity that paid homage to their founders, a couple from Washington who really loves coffee and hosting people in their home, while also standing out against the other small roasting companies in the Palouse. We prioritized warm, inviting colors and with a personal yet bold typeface and incorporated them into an evergreen package design system that allowed them flexibility to switch labels and roasts (thus maximizing their small business budget). This was one of the first deep dives into brand strategy that I had done as a freelance designer and it was very satisfying to see all the elements come together to form a strong, versatile brand and packaging system.
