Therametric Technologies, Inc. partnered with Composion for a comprehensive branding transformation that aimed to redefine its identity. Research into the target audience and competitors informed a robust brand strategy, showcased in an in-depth, 27-page document. Innovation, product safety and quality, sustainability, and societal impact emerged as vital values for corporate dental product manufacturers. The brand strategy findings laid the foundation for the brand’s identity, guiding brand positioning and visuals.
Therametric’s refreshed brand was strategically designed to fit within a gap in the market. By combining playful and modern styling, we achieve a balance of innovation and tradition. The brand now embodies innovation, dependability, and experience, effectively speaking to its target audience and setting the stage for growth.
The redesigned logo pays homage to Therametric’s original concept, where an arrow morphs into a star, depicting the process of an innovative idea forming. The five-pointed star symbolizes the human body, while the forward and upward-pointing motion signifies progress and new ideas. This represents how Therametric helps to improve human health through the growth of new ideas.
The color palette, dominated by blues, radiates trustworthiness and dependability, while the geometric typefaces play up the “metric” portion of the name and evoke a modern aesthetic.
A set of custom icons was designed for commonly referenced topics, like laboratory testing, clinical studies, research & development, and more. Other contributions included documentation for testing methods and branded business cards.
In addition to the logo design and branding, design expertise was extended to the website. Designed and developed in WordPress, the new site combines user-friendly navigation with a sleek design that reflects their refreshed identity.
This transformative brand journey positions Therametric for growth and resonates with its core audience, making it a testament to the power of strategic design.

It's been an awesome year for Composion! I've had the pleasure of working with a wide variety of fantastic clients (many who are local to AZ!) and bringing their visions to life through design, which is my absolute passion. One of the highlights of this year was my involvement with AIGA Arizona, where I took on the role of Communications Director for Phoenix Design Week. I love being part of the amazing community of designers we have here in Arizona, and I can’t wait to get even more involved!
